Bay Area Fencing Club is honored to welcome Coach Vakhob Murdasov, an extraordinary fencing coach and referee who has achieved sustained national and international acclaim. With a prestigious background as a champion athlete and national team coach, Coach Vakhob brings a deep tradition of elite Central Asian foil and epee fencing to our club community.

Meet Coach Vakhob Murdasov

A Legacy of Excellence in Uzbekistan

Coach Vakhob has served as a foundational pillar for the National Team of Fencing Coaches of Uzbekistan, specializing in developing top-tier talent. His impressive career highlights include:

  • Serving as a member of the National Fencing Coaching Staff, with direct responsibility for preparing the Youth National Team (Juniors and Cadets) for the Asian Fencing Championships and global tournaments.
  • Spending years developing a highly competitive National Fencing Team for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
  • Holding the prestigious leadership positions of Head Fencing Coach of the Andijan Region at the Fencing Federation of Uzbekistan and Head Fencing Coach at the government-supervised Asaka Children's and Youth Sports School.
  • Raising many of Uzbekistan's current National Team athletes from their early childhood ages, guiding them all the way from foundational baselines to elite adult competition.

Athletic Pedigree

Fencing at the highest tier of international sport, Coach Vakhob was a dominant competitive force for the National Fencing Team of Uzbekistan across two separate tenures (2008–2011 and 2015–2017). He was a two-time National Champion of Uzbekistan (2009 and 2010) and consistently took top placements at high-level Central Asian international competitions. In recognition of his mastery, he was awarded the permanent lifetime status of Master of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
