Coaching Philosophy
Coach James' mission is to help students achieve their performance goals from recreational through national competitive levels. He works with students to understand how they learn best and tailors the programs to maximize student success.
Classroom Focus
Classes emphasize conditioning and gross/fine motor coordination development, fencing stance and movements, and tactical basics.
Private Lessons
Private lessons focus on technical and strategic development, tailored to the learning needs and performance goals of each student.
Student-Centered Approach
Every athlete learns differently; programs are adapted to maximize individual success on and off the strip.
“Fencing is an act of self discovery and self mastery which transcend the piste. The sport of fencing conditions the body and mind to achieve tournament results. The art of fencing trains the person to navigate through life.”
